Getting Ready for Lowell Open Studios

Sadly we missed August Open Studios because we had a wedding to attend (congratulations Pete and Steph!).  As it turned out, there was some crazy weather that involved a tornado warning and lightening striking a building right down the road (see picture).

Of course mother nature was her normal fickle self and followed up the torrential downpours with an absolutely stunning sunset over Lake Ossipee in Freedom, NH (see picture).

Now October Open Studios is creeping up fast! This is a big one because it is also Lowell Open Studios, so we will be open from 11-5 on both Saturday and Sunday. I do not have many new knitting pieces (although there are a few new shawls/scarfs that I finished over the summer) because I have been working on commissioned sweater piece (soon to be completed I hope!!), and WE MOVED. Completely unplanned, but it turned out wonderful. We are now officially loft dwellers at Western Ave. However, even though we have been busy I have been dyeing. I really, really love messing with crazy color combos. I particularly love dyeing large skeins of lace and fingering weight yarn. Some of these are going to be hard for me to part with!

I am DYEING (see what I did there?) to see these knit up! :)
